Molybdenum Lanthanum Oxide Description
Molybdenum Lanthanum Oxide is pure Molybdenum doped with small amounts of Lanthanum Oxide particles (0.3-0.7%) during the manufacturing process resulting in an enhanced properties profile. The addition of Lanthanum Oxide creates a special stacked fiber microstructure that is stable at temperatures up to 2000°C. After recrystallization the elongated grain structure with jagged grain boundaries provides a measurable increase in ductility over pure Molybdenum. ML/MLR/MLS is used where embrittlement after recrystallization must be avoided and is ideal for applications where pure Mo will not provide the increased ductility, creep resistant strength and other properties this material delivers.
