Molybdenum Description

Molybdenum is an element identified by the symbol Mo and the atomic number 42.  It is part of the group of transition metals and is also referenced as a refractory metal.  Refractory metals have a higher melting point than platinum (1772°C) and pure Molybdenum exhibits a high melting point of 2620°C.  The thermal expansion characteristics of Mo are approximately one-third of stainless steels.
